"Searching for the Elusive Rainbow is certain to please many Krautrock and space rock fans out there. This recording was done all live in the studio (although one cut was from a different session). You get treated with lots of distorted guitar from Christian Doscher, with lots of spacy sound effects courtesy of a feedback noise generator from Paul Hilzinger. He even provides the Yamaha CS-40 synth on the first cut, "Immersion". There isn't one cut on this album that has normal melodies or hooks. Unlike so many similarly obscure bands playing this kind of music that only manage one album, Escapade was able to manage several releases, as recently as 2006. If you enjoy Can, Cosmic Jokers, Guru Guru, even Acid Mothers Temple or Heldon, give this CD a try."
